ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Pokemon Go craze has an Albuquerque dog shelter taking advantage of its popularity. They are inviting all players to come take a dog for a walk while they play the game, and people are taking the shelter up on the offer.

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Two new, scathing reports slam Albuquerque’s Animal Welfare Department, saying the shelters adopted out dogs that are dangerous to people and animals.

PACA has no shelter facility and relies on an organized network of volunteers who foster the pets until permanent homes are found.

Surgeries are offered on Tuesday through Friday at the East Side Animal Shelter Veterinary Clinic Only. There also is a voucher program that can pay for surgeries at participating private veterinary clinics.
