English Bulldog Rescue Network Houston - EBRN of Houston

Before you adopt an English Bulldog, consider how much time your new family member will spend alone. Remember, a puppy requires constant attention. The key to successful housebreaking is consistency; preventing "accidents" is key. Once a puppy soils the carpeting, it becomes much more difficult to train them out of that behavior. Here's a good rule of thumb to consider: a puppy can hold his bladder just one hour for every month they've been alive. For instance, a 3-month-old puppy will need to empty his bladder every three hours! Before you adopt an English Bulldog puppy, ask yourself if you are available to walk your dog several times throughout the day, and if you have the patience and commitment to wake up and take him out first thing every morning at the same time, and stick to a strict schedule. Of course, before you can walk him at all, you will need to train him to walk on a leash, which is a project in itself.

View English Bulldogs currently available for adoption from EBRN in Houston, Texas TX. Adopt an English Bulldog and save a life! Posted Breed: English Bulldog. Adoption fee: $500 Location: Houston area Somewhere out there, out where dreams come true..My name is Chuck and I was surrendered to the local animal shelter when my owner no longer wanted me. I am now ready to sniff and search my way to my "happily forever home".I am a handsome, low energy boy that is crate trained with no anxiety and I am beautifully house trained. I will even notify you then it is time for me to go outside by sitting by the door and whining. I do have some hair loss on my back which has been examined and tested by the Vet, it is not a medical issue and it is only a cosmetic flaw due to stress in my previous life. I do require a home without other pets as I love to be the center of "your" attention and I do not like to share my food or toys with other fur friends. My days are spent cuddling with my humans, napping and receiving belly rubs. I would fit into a quiet home setting with a yard or I would be fine for apartment living as I have a mellow personality and I love to go on short daily walks around the neighborhood. I am not an outside dog and I do prefer if you accompany me for those backyard potty breaks. I enjoy chewing on the large size, heavy duty nylabones and I love to chase balls. I do not live with children in my foster home so my foster mom is unclear if I would be compatible, but I might be perfect with teenagers. If you are ready for a true companion who will snuggle up next to you and meet you at the front door when you arrive home, just fill out my adoption application and together we can make our dreams come true.
